The African FinTech 100 is generated by combining public voting and expert voting. The online voting starts 23 June 2017. The voting ends 19 September 2017 so the judges can assess the companies. The companies are assessed based on their company profile on fintech-africa.com. The online competition will go on for the Public Awards after 19 September 2017.
The public votes constitute 25% of the weight in determining the African FinTech 100.

The purpose of the FinTech awards is not to scientifically prove who are the best FinTech companies. The judging is primarily based on the judges individual ideas and views on the nominating companies using their expertise, knowledge and ideas.
